VICTORY EARNED, HISTORY MADE: ARIBASOYE CONGRATULATES OYEBANJI ON RE-ELECTION

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has described the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji for another term in office as a well-earned victory and a historic milestone for Ekiti State.

He also highlighted that the outcome of the election clearly reflected the collective voice of the people of Ekiti, who overwhelmingly reaffirmed their confidence in Governor Oyebanji's leadership and chose him to continue steering the affairs of the state.

In a congratulatory statement, Aribasoye said the Governor's victory was earned through hard work, commitment to good governance, fulfilment of campaign promises, effective service delivery, and a solid dedication to the development and progress of Ekiti State.

According to him, these qualities laid the foundation for the historic achievement recorded at the polls.

"The victory goes beyond winning Saturday's election as widely anticipated. The greater significance lies in the fact that, for the first time in Ekiti's political history, a governor has secured re-election back-to-back, among other historic feats," he said.

Aribasoye, whose polling unit (003), Ward 8, Odo Ayedun, returned 225 votes for the APC and one vote each for the PDP and ADC, noted that the results recorded across all local government areas reflected both the commitment of party members and the widespread acceptance of Governor Oyebanji's performance in office.

"Mr. Governor, while putting on record that party leaders and members worked selflessly and sleeplessly to ensure you secure this resounding and convincing victory at the poll, I must say you also made the job easy through your outstanding performance in office, making you a readily marketable electoral product," he stated.

The Speaker appealed to other candidates who participated in the election to embrace the larger interest of Ekiti State by joining hands with the Governor in advancing the state's development agenda.

He urged all stakeholders, irrespective of political affiliation, to support the administration in consolidating on the gains and achievements recorded during the first term for the benefit of all Ekiti people.
